*Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC)working president Dinesh Gundu Rao has said that veteran leader of the party, B Janardhan Poojary, had crossed all limits of "decency" and the party can no longer tolerate his "irrational" statements.*
Speaking to mediapersons here on Sunday, Dinesh said that the statements of Poojary (in pic) defaming the Congress had been brought to the notice of the party high command through Karnataka in-charge, Digvijaya Singh. "Poojary should be concerned about the image of the party and should conduct himself with dignity," Dinesh said.
Replying to a query on inducting former home minister KJGeorge back into the Cabinet, Dinesh said that George should not have resigned at all. He claimed that attempts had been made to punish George for no fault of his.
The Criminal Investigation Department, probing the suicide case of deputy superintendent of police MKGanapathi, is said to have given clean chit to George.
*'Urulu seve' for 'just' order on Cauvery*
Former Union minister B Janardhana Poojary performed the 'urulu seve' at Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara Temple in Mangaluru on Sunday, praying for a "just verdict" by the Supreme Court on the Cauvery issue, reports DHNS.
He started the 'urulu seve' around 10.30 am as the silver chariot was pulled by the devotees around the temple. Speaking to reporters later, he said that he offered the 'urulu seve on behalf of the people of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
"I have prayed to the Lord that may the Supreme Court give the judgment which gives contentment to all the states and may the people of the three states stop fighting and live with harmony." Responding to a query, he said that if K J George was taken back into the cabinet, the image of the Congress party would be "dented". Reported by Deccan Herald 31 minutes ago.
