Trial date set for Rinehart case

The country's richest person, Gina Rinehart, is likely to appear in a Sydney court this year, when the legal stoush brought by two of her children over the family's $4 billion trust goes to trial. The mining magnate's children John Hancock and Bianca Rinehart are attempting to have their mother removed as trustee, alleging she engaged in serious misconduct by extending the trust's vesting date. In the NSW Supreme Court on Thursday, Justice Patricia Bergin set down the civil trial for October 1.
